Summer Music Partnership Program online

July 8-August 1, 2024

Summer 2024 Enrollment Form

We are inviting all publicly-funded New York City (located within any of the five boroughs) day care centers, preschools, Head Start centers, NYC EarlyLearn programs, 3-K and Pre-K for All programs, and Early Childhood social service agencies to enroll in the 2024 Summer Music Partnership Program Online. Thanks to the generous support of The Diller-Quaile School of Music’s community of donors and the New York State Council on the Arts, the SMPP will continue to be offered tuition-free to all participants.

Participating children and teachers:

  • Join us for eight online music classes specially designed for young children. These 30-minute online classes will be posted each Monday and Wednesday morning of the program, by 9:00am: July 8th, 10th, 15th, 17th, 22nd, 24th, 29th, and 31st.

  • Receive digital packets of each week’s music activities, so that the children and teachers can make music together all week.

The summer will culminate with the 51st Festival of International Folk Music, an online sing-along, which will be posted by Friday, August 2nd at 10am. The Festival will include the sharing and singing of music from the entire program.

All SMPP participating centers receive free companion 3-month memberships to Diller-Quaile’s Music for All Library, our online music resource for Early Childhood Professionals. During the first week of the program, participants will be sent a link through which you can create individual logins to the Library. About the Summer Music Partnership Program:

Since 1973, the Summer Music Partnership Program (SMPP) has provided tuition-free dynamic musical experiences for young children from day care centers, preschools, Head Start centers, NYC EarlyLearn programs, NYC 3-K and Pre-K for All classrooms, and social service agencies. Every summer, the program provides opportunities for expressive age-appropriate singing, instrument playing, movement, artistic expression, and an increased understanding of the elements of music. The program strongly emphasizes collaboration, cultural awareness, and the development of each child’s musical understanding.

The SMPP is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature. In addition, Diller-Quaile’s Community Programs are made possible with support from The Achelis and Bodman Foundation, The Morris and Alma Schapiro Fund, and generous donors to The Diller-Quaile Annual Fund.
