In the Preschool Program, we support your child’s increasing sense of autonomy as we help them develop and thrive within a group class setting. 

Through music, visual art, and play-based experiences, the teachers cultivate a vibrant and nurturing learning environment where the children – as individuals and members of a group – explore, create, and discover. These hands-on experiences foster the emotional, social, physical, intellectual, and artistic development of each child.

At the beginning of the year, teachers guide your family through a gradual separation process, helping each child to become comfortable in the classroom and ready to attend school on their own.

Students’ ideas are valued and integrated into the ongoing development of the curriculum. Through movement, singing, listening, and explorations with a wide range of small percussion instruments and props, the children experience a vast repertoire of folk, classical, jazz, popular, and original music. Puppets, tunnels, parachutes, and more, enhance inventive storytelling sparked by the children’s ideas. Using a broad range of media and techniques, the children create drawings, paintings, collages, prints, and sculptures.

Over time, the children develop friendships – and together we form a community of learners, makers, and creators of music and art.

Preschool Teachers & Pianist

In addition to a head music teacher, a head art teacher, and an assistant teacher, the teaching team features a pianist who supports the learning process and improvises accompaniments in a variety of musical styles. Key to the Diller-Quaile approach is the collaboration among and between the teachers and the children.

Whether you're new to Diller-Quaile or considering transitioning from one of our classes to Preschool, we're excited to welcome you and assist you through the enrollment process. Below, you'll find the steps for enrolling your student. Step 2: Notification of acceptance and complete enrollment materials

30-Week Program Tuition

$8,195.00

Payment Options

Tuition is payable to the School in full at the time of online enrollment; or families may pay in installments. Under the installment plan, 50% of tuition is payable at time of enrollment and prior to August 1, 2024. The 50% tuition balance is due August 1, 2024. If a student enrolls after August 1, 2024, the entire tuition is due at time of enrollment. Tuition will be prorated if a student enrolls after the start of the school year and is due in full before the student’s first class.
