MUSIC AND MOVEMENT (3&4 years) Children explore rhythm, melody, form, phrasing, expressive qualities, and timbre through singing, movement, circle dances, musical dramatizations, and ear training games. Opportunities to play a wide range of authentic percussion instruments are integrated into the curriculum and inspire an appreciation for music from around the world. Lessons in listening and improvising provide a rich foundation for instrumental and vocal study. In addition to a head teacher, every class features a pianist who improvises accompaniments in a variety of musical styles.
