David Dubal is internationally known as a pianist, teacher, writer, and broadcaster. An acknowledged authority on piano literature, Mr. Dubal's highly acclaimed books include The Art of the Piano, Evenings with Horowitz, Reflections from the Keyboard, and Conversations with Menuhin. Mr. Dubal's video, The Golden Age of the Piano, has been seen worldwide in four languages, and won him an Emmy award. Recipient of the First ASCAP/Deems Taylor Award for broadcast journalism, Mr. Dubal has also won the coveted George Foster Peabody Award for innovative broadcasting. He served as Music Director of WNCN in New York City from l967-90, and was also producer and commentator for innumerable special broadcasts, including "Conversations with Horowitz." Mr. Dubal is a faculty member of The Juilliard School and Manhattan School of Music. He has performed in recitals and lecture-recitals, conducted master classes world-wide, and judged many international competitions, including the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.

Carter Brey was appointed Principal Cellist of the New York Philharmonic in 1996. He rose to international attention in 1981 as a prizewinner in the Rostropovich International Cello Competition. Subsequent appearances with Mstislav Rostropovich and the National Symphony Orchestra were unanimously praised. The winner of the Gregor Piatigorsky Memorial Prize, Avery Fisher Career Grant, the Young Concert Artists' Michaels Award, and other honors, he also was the first musician to win the Arts Council of America's Performing Arts Prize, and has performed as soloist with many of America's major symphony orchestras. Mr. Brey has made regular appearances with the Tokyo and Emerson string quartets as well as The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the Spoleto Festival in the U.S. and Italy, and the Santa Fe Chamber Music and La Jolla Chamber Music festivals, among others. He presents an ongoing series of duo recitals with pianist Christopher O'Riley; together they have recorded The Latin American Album, a disc of compositions from South America and Mexico (Helicon Records). Mr. Brey was educated at the Peabody Institute, where he studied with Laurence Lesser and Stephen Kates, and at Yale University, where he studied with Aldo Parisot, and where he was a Wardwell Fellow and a Houpt Scholar.

Cho-Liang Lin, violin, is renowned for appearances as a soloist with major orchestras, as well as in recital and chamber music performances. Musical America named Mr. Lin its Instrumentalist of the Year in 2000. Apart from a vast conventional repertoire, Mr. Lin continues his advocacy for contemporary music by presenting recent world premieres of the music of Paul Schoenfield, Lalo Schifrin, Tan Dun as well as new recordings of the music of Bright Sheng, George Tsontakis, and Zhou Long. He is Music Director of La Jolla Music Society's SummerFest, where he has helped commission and premiere works by Chen Yi, Chick Corea, John Harbison, Mark O'Connor, Esa-Pekka Salonen, and Gunther Schuller, among others. Mr. Lin's recordings have won such awards as Gramophone's Record of the Year, as well as two Grammy Award nominations. Born in Taiwan, Mr. Lin studied with Dorothy DeLay at The Juilliard School and Aspen Music Festival. At the age of 19, Mr. Lin made his New York debut with David Zinman. He has been a member of the Juilliard faculty since 1991 and has recently joined the faculty of Rice University's Shepherd School of Music.
