GUITAR PROGRAM
guitar programThe School offers classical guitar study for students age eight and older at all levels of experience. The guitar curriculum focuses on technical study, music reading, and the cultivation of musical understanding. Beginning to intermediate students are enrolled in an individual lesson and weekly musicianship class, while advanced students with strong reading skills also take part in chamber ensembles.

Guitar for Beginners

Friday5:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Explore the guitar and the wonders this multi-faceted instrument has to offer in a supportive class environment. Students learn fundamentals of technique for both the left-hand and right-hand, as well as basic music reading. The class explores a variety of music styles through group and solo playing, while acquiring rehearsal and performance skills. Students build a foundation of guitar technique and musicianship, which prepares them for further solo study.
