FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION PROCESS

To begin the financial aid application process, check "Yes" on the school's enrollment application form where it asks if you'd like to receive information about need-based financial aid.

Financial Aid Timelines:

Early Childhood Dept. Financial Aid Application Due Dates:

New students enrolling prior to April 30, 2012 must submit all required documentation by May 4, 2012.

New students enrolling on or after April 30, 2012 must submit all required documentation by September 1, 2012.

Returning students currently receiving financial aid and returning students applying for aid for the first time and enrolling prior to April 30, 2012 must submit all required documentation by May 4, 2012. If the student is enrolled on or after April 30, 2012, the documentation is due by September 1, 2012.

Instrumental and Vocal Dept. Financial Aid Application Due Dates:

New students interviewing in June must submit all required documentation by June 15, 2012.

New students interviewing in September must submit all required documentation by the time of the interview.

Returning students currently receiving financial aid or returning students applying for aid for the first time must submit all required documentation by June 1, 2012.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs) ABOUT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Q: Does the School offer financial assistance?

A: Yes, the School administers a financial assistance program for families or adult students with limited financial means. Financial Aid amounts are based on proven need as documented by both parents and/or guardians. Financial Aid Amounts are subject to the availability of funds; therefore, please submit your information as soon as possible. Priority is given to returning students and students who apply by the specified deadlines.

Q: I'm a new student. Can I apply for need-based financial aid?

A: Yes. To begin the financial aid application process, check "Yes" on the school's enrollment application form where it asks if you'd like to receive information about need-based financial aid. We will then mail The School and Student Services by NAIS (SSS) Parents' Financial Statement or "PFS" form with instructions to your home.

Q: I'm a returning student and received aid last year. Do I need to re-apply?

A: Yes, you must apply for need-based aid for any year in which aid is being requested. A new SSS Parents' Financial Statement or "PFS" form with instructions will automatically be mailed to your home.

Q: What documentation will I need to submit to apply for need-based financial aid?

A: Once you receive the SSS Parents' Financial Statement or "PFS" form you must complete it entirely, sign it and return it to Diller-Quaile together with a signed copy of both parents' and/or guardians 2011 Federal tax return/s.

Q: I have already applied for financial aid to my child's other school/s. Do I need to complete the "PFS" form again for Diller-Quaile?

A: No. However you must request that SSS forward a summary to Diller-Quaile. Diller-Quaile's SSS code number is 2847. You must still provide Diller-Quaile with a copy of your 2011 Federal tax return.

Q: When can I expect to hear about financial aid awards?

A: The School will begin notifying Early Childhood financial aid applicants in June and Instrumental and Vocal financial aid applicants in August.
